History

Rotary Club of Cochin Global came into being during the year 2004 with 32 members and formed by our charter president Rtn Peter John. The club today is one of the largest clubs in Rotary district 3201 with 92 members out of which we have 16 lady members. Club has its forte in charitable activities and medical camps that are conducted in remote parts of the country. The club is known for its signature PROJECT SURYA which enables the blind with mobility & computer literacy. The project has been successfully running for over 11 years. The club has also done several prominent projects which include the Dialysis Unit, construction of houses for the needy etc. NECTAR OF LIFE – Kerala’s first Human Breast Milk bank added one more feather in our crown and the launch of the project is expected in December 2020. The club has also been instrumental in making one of the largest fellowship events of the district – GLOBAL DHAMAKA. The club is a 100% PHF club, and we have Eight major donors. The club has a strong culture of fellowship and fun has the reputation of having the most interesting family events and dinners in the district. The club has illustrious office bearers and is poised to be an active member in the district.
